以前台灣男生當兵得當一年，但芳芳大學畢業3、4年後，台灣當兵時間從1年變成了4個月，而現在台灣當兵的時間又從原本的4個月變成了1年。我們覺得台灣喜歡變來變去，政策常反反覆覆，有時政府看到別國的政策不錯想試試看，但卻常沒做好完整的規劃，每次都學得四不像。

[01:36] 為什麼在台灣當兵時間越來越短?
在我們父母的年代，台灣男生需要服2、3年的兵役，後來才慢慢地改到1年。台灣一直以來都有徵兵制，只要一個男生年滿18歲，就有義務當兵。
以前中華民國政府和中國共產黨政府在中國有內戰，中華民國政府打輸後慢慢地退到了台灣，因此從1967年到1986年間，當時台灣政府目標是反攻大陸，後來政府發現再重新掌握中國的政權越來越不可能，因此兵役時間就開始越來越短。到了2008年馬英九就任台灣總統後，政府開始推動募兵制，因此後來台灣政府就把1年的兵役時間，改變成3到4個月的軍事訓練。

[04:01] 為什麼台灣當兵時間又變長了?
去年12月總統蔡英文宣布從2024年1月1日開始，全部恢復成常備兵役徵集。去年夏天美國眾議院議長裴洛西拜訪台灣，當時台灣和中國關係緊張，戰爭可以說是一觸即發，加上去年2月底開始的烏俄戰爭，看到俄羅斯跟烏克蘭之間的關係後，我們真的緊張死了。當時就有很多人覺得4個月的軍事訓練太少了，如果真的發生了戰爭，很多台灣人會不知道怎麼操作武器，因此我們也覺得兵役延長到1年比較好，這樣才比較能保護台灣。
