木柵動物園是台灣最大的動物園，也是東亞最大的動物園之一。如果想要慢慢地逛木柵動物園，可能要花上10幾個小時，一天都不夠。而且重點是，木柵動物園門票很便宜，只要60塊錢台幣，因此我們覺得如果你住在台北，有空閒時就可以去走走看看。

木柵動物園的熱帶雨林區可以看到食蟻獸、水豚和花豹等等的動物，而熱情的解說員也會上前解說，讓我們瞭解到動物的習性和有趣小故事。在木柵動物園裡面，在企鵝館可以看到非常可愛的企鵝，而貓熊和無尾熊更是到木柵動物園時，一定要去看的動物，看到真的就直接融化!如果周末或假期時去，還得排隊進場。上次莛莛去木柵動物園時，看到正在吃竹子的大貓熊，就覺得樣子真的非常討喜。

莛莛最不喜歡的是昆蟲館，雖然她比較沒有辦法接受昆蟲，但如果隔著玻璃的話就還好，可以欣賞牠們美麗的花紋。木柵動物園還有很多動物，比如大象、長頸鹿、駱駝、袋鼠等，都可以看到。

有些人覺得動物住在動物園，就像住在監獄裡，沒有自由。但我們覺得，如果一個動物園是個很為動物著想的動物園，有足夠的活動空間，讓牠們很有活力，就沒有問題。雖然讓動物們自由自在地在大自然裡很好，但台灣太小了，牠們住在外面會更危險。

我們曾經看過一個新聞，有一些獵人想要到山上捕獵，去抓山豬，所以就設了一些陷阱，結果台灣黑熊就不小心踩到了這些陷阱。因此我們覺得防不勝防，讓動物生活在野外不是那麼安全。此外，台灣以前也有很多梅花鹿，但後來一直被台灣人捕殺，還好木柵動物園之前就先把一些梅花鹿保護好，在1986年時開始梅花鹿的復育計畫，把他們以前保留下來的梅花鹿野放回去。所以我們認為，動物園還是滿重要的。
