在台灣看牙醫有台灣政府健保的補助，所以很便宜，因此在台灣時，如果你的牙齒不舒服，可以趕快到牙醫診所給他們看看牙齒的狀況。莛莛老是覺得牙齒超級敏感，很不舒服，到了牙醫診所檢查後常才發現她的牙齒因為刷牙太用力，竟然刷出一個凹槽。醫生唸說琺瑯質在莫氏硬度量表裡的分數是5，是人身體最強硬的生物組織，比骨頭還硬，但莛莛竟然把它刷壞掉，真的很誇張!
牙醫 yá yī – dentist

檢查 jiǎn chá – check
凹槽 āo cáo – groove
唸 niàn – to nag; to rebuke

我們半年得定期檢查一次牙齒，看牙齒有沒有問題。
到了牙醫診所後，你可以告訴他們：「你好，我要掛號，我想要檢查一下我的牙齒。」
這時，你可以告訴他們：「牙齒沒有不舒服，只是想要檢查一下牙齒，然後洗牙。」
洗牙會讓牙齒比較不會有牙結石或牙菌斑，因此我們建議你半年洗一次牙。
定期 dìng qī – regular
掛號 guà hào – make an appointment
洗牙 xǐ yá – teeth cleaning; dental cleaning
牙結石 yá jié shí – tartar
牙菌斑 yá jūn bān – plaque
如果牙齒不舒服，你可以說：「我的牙齒最近有點酸酸的，痛痛的，好像蛀牙了。」為了確定你哪裡有蛀牙，他們會請你到一個小房間，照牙齒的X光，再開始幫你補牙。
