[00:15] 苗栗是什麼樣的地方? 有什麼樣的故事呢?
「苗栗」在台灣的中北部，在新竹的下方，台中的上方。1000多年前原住民道卡斯族居住在這一帶。到17世紀中葉，漢人慢慢從中國來到台灣進行開墾，那時原住民被迫遷移到山上，或得選擇跟漢人同化。許多國家的原住民都有類似的情形，因外來者的移入，被迫離開本來住的地方。「苗栗」這個名字的由來很特別，原住民道卡斯族稱苗栗「巴利」，意思是平原，而漢人來台灣後認為「巴利」聽起來像「貓貍」，而現在名字變成了「苗栗」。

[02:17] 苗栗哪裡好玩?
有一座雪山和一座大霸尖山的「雪霸國家公園」爬山步道沒有很陡或很險峻的地方，這裡的美景讓爬的人情不自禁地發出讚嘆。而苗栗特別的景觀「龍騰斷橋」顧名思義是一座斷掉、且只剩下幾根柱子的橋，這座橋是20世紀初蓋的，但在1935年時，發生了7.3級的大地震，當時附近的房子都倒塌了，這座橋也斷了，讓人看了怵目驚心。苗栗的「三義」因盛產樟木，在清朝時期就開始發展木雕了，如果你喜歡中華文化，可以在這看到很多神像的木雕。

廷廷去三義時，也去了「金榜麵館」這家店，當時她點了一堆菜，沒有一道菜踩到雷，她認為這家店的豬頭肉麵和客家板條也是水準之上，而酥脆口感的炸小魚乾也讓人超級爽。
